Promoting Dental Hygiene Excellence
RFLDHA is committed to enhancing the dental hygiene field in New York State. By collaborating with dental hygienists, we advocate for higher standards and practices, ensuring the profession flourishes and remains effective in community health.
Message From Our President:
Welcome!
Rochester/Finger Lakes Dental Hygienists’ Association is one of 8 components of the New York Dental Hygienists’ Association. We serve 9 counties including Chemung, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, and Yates. As part of NYDHA and ADHA, our local component includes local Board Members that represent all Registered Dental Hygienists in these counties.
As your local representatives, our Director represents our component at the State level. NYDHA represents us with relations with the NYS Dental Board, Education Board and NYS representatives that help us with laws and agendas that will continue to keep the Dental Hygiene profession moving forward.
Our mission is to improve the oral health of the public along with advancing the art and science of dental hygiene. We will maintain the highest standards of dental hygiene education and practice while representing and protecting the interest of our profession. We support the research facilities in our area for oral health and provide professional communications to area Dental Hygienists.
Join us as we start back to live continuing education courses starting in March 23'. Our Association is committed to providing quality continuing education with our study clubs held 2 to 3 times throughout the year. Our Executive Board works hard to bring inspiring, stimulating guest speakers to present on current topics that enhance our work life in all Dental Hygiene aspects. We welcome any topics that you may want to hear in the future.
Our Board meetings are open to members or join us in volunteering alongside your fellow Hygienists to be part of our mission. You can always reach out to any of our Board members with any questions, concerns or recommendations. We would love to hear from you!
We look forward to seeing familiar faces, meeting new colleagues and hope you can join us!
